Itsa Me, the Pope!

Helllooooo Canada,

Today was our last day in Rome. We made our way to the Vatican, Basillica, and St.Peter's  Square. I was SO close to the pope. Casa di Pope-a is breathtaking. And for all the times I've seen it in Hollywood it was surreal to actually be there. Lots of people and not enough air-conditioning in the Vatican. I'm gettting some sun (I actually look alive now) and today for the first time in my life I was told I have an olive complextion. I grinned from tiny ear to tiny ear.

Today my roomates and I slept in so late that we had 10 minutes to get downstairs. After quickly getting dressed up in nice dresses we made it downstairs. THEN we were told no exposed knees (the Pope HATES knees). So up we went again to change. For most of us the soltuion was to throw on jeans under our dresses, some had more trouble solving the issue.

Tonight we are all going out and exploring the nightlife. We all picked up our wine and some are having naps to gain energy they will need for tonight. My roomate Kayla and I went the "let's just drink more Cappuccinos" route. I am sitting on the communal computer with a bag of peas taped to my knee using a tensor bandage. Me being responsible.

I'm very excited for Florence tomorrow and am looking forward to shopping there. Kayla and I's third roomate is currently sleeping and could get up anytime, in which then she will realize she cannot get out because we locked the door behind us and she will need the key to unlock it. So perhaps I should go make sure she hasn't scaled out the window.

Until I find internet in Florence...

Love and Pope hats,
V.
